ABOUT THE BOOK

Gypsy Banjara, Lamani, Lambada, Sugali, criminal tribes are international primitive tribes. The British deliberately declared the patriotic tribe involved in transport and communication as born criminals on 12 October 1871. By 1952, 23 lakh patriots were imprisoned for 81 years. The population of the Banjara tribe was the highest. In independent India, in 1950, all the states that sent the list of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes were deemed eligible for the constitutional framework. However, since the criminal tribes were imprisoned, they were not given the opportunity to claim their rights for the constitutional framework. They were imprisoned in 52 settlements and made slaves for eight decades by exploiting them physically and mentally in railways, mines, transport, forced labor, road construction, agricultural goods transportation, cultivation, mines, port construction.

After the linguistic division of the states in 1956, the life of the said tribe became difficult. While their language, culture and customs were the same, they had to hide their original identity and live a life of independence in independent India. In the Hyderabad Imperial and other gadgets, the Banjara tribe was divided into Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in six states like Andhra, Karnataka, Telangana, and in some places in the talukas of the districts of the same state. 

However, due to this, they had to be deprived of the said reservation. "According to the rules of the Reorganization of the State, it is a gradual and legal process for them to get their original rights. Banjara and similar criminal tribes were first called tribes i.e. primitive from 1871. Committees and commissions like Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Jaipal Singh Munda, L.R. Naik, B.D. Deshmukh, Thade, Reneke, Idate etc. have studied them and recommended their inclusion in the constitutional schedule. In Andhra, Telangana, Karnataka, the Banjara and similar tribes were given constitutional reservation as Scheduled Tribes. However, the demand of justice of Maharashtra was ignored to keep the longest serving Chief Minister like Vasantrao Naik from the post of Prime Minister. By sub-categorizing such tribes based on population, adopting the principle of sub-categorization given by the Supreme Court, and by calling a separate session of the legislature and parliament, the 15 crore criminal tribes in the country should be given the ninth prescribed constitutional right based on population. Reservation should be opened for the Kunbi and eligible tribes in Maharashtra and similar states. 

Social justice should be established and they should be given representation in the economic, social, educational and political fields.
