ABOUT THE BOOK

Year 2020 has been witness to a major upheaval in human history, wherein a microscopic entity has forced shut the entire world. COVID-19, the recent in the series of pandemics that human race has faced, is continuing to devour lives and has left a wide ranging impact on all spheres of human existence. Through a  compilati on of articles, this book attempts to explore various facets of our struggle with this deadly disease, the efforts undertaken and the emerging new way of life in socio-economic, political and psychological context. It seeks to trigger introspection, and a quest for a more sustainable and harmonious living, along with appreciating the human ability to adapt, innovate and recreate as per the New Normal.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Prof. Madhu Rajput is the former Head, Department of Western History ,University of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. She has authored eight books and her field of specialisation is South Asia, Northeast India, and women studies. She has completed three Major Research Projects on Bhutan, and Tibetan women.
